Hiking Denali Nat'l

going on cruisetour with family but planning some other stuff aside from the cruisetour. Not crazy about going on the wilderness bus tour. Would rather doing hiking but not sure about going it alone. Have heard about ranger guides but have to sign up in person days ahead of time. Does anyone know approx time of day the Wilderness Express train (royal carib) usually gets into Denali & any suggestions as to guided hiking?

The train from Fairbanks gets in around noon. Be advised, your tundra wilderness tour has a value of $85, significant not to take advantage of.

There are trails at the Park entrance and you can take the free shuttle to Savage river for hiking as well. Listings http://www.nps.gov/dena If you purchase tickets on the shuttle, you can get off the bus anywhere and just go walking.
