Mega Rockstar Daily Bar Tab perk

Any drink up to $25 is covered and 2 bottles of wine/liquor per day up to $90. Note that you'll have to pay the full price for any drinks/bottles above the $25/90 limit, not just the difference.

I believe they validate parking in the garage at the Miami terminal (we used the private transfer option from a hotel, but another mega rockstar on our ship said their parking was comped).

if there's a $$$ spirit you want, poke around at different bars - some offer a 1oz pour for half that price.  one that comes to mind is blue label at the casino bar.. $48 pour at all other bars, but casino had 1oz pours for $24... perfect!

they also started giving discounts on drinks and bottles above the limits - it's either 20 or 25% off, can't remember.  so if you do want a more expensive drink or bottle of wine (or a 3rd bottle), you'll just get that discount off the full price.  for the daily bottles of wine, we ended up becoming one of the somms' best friends and just hit him up for the best <$90 wines every night.  you can also get them at any bar or to go from the restaurant bars.

There is relatively little consistency as to what you can get in which locations on VV ships.  There are drinks that are only available in particular bars or restaurants.  I don't know why each bar couldn't do a 1 oz. pour, but it doesn't surprise me.

There are 2 main things- first, we were talking to a bartender last week, and he said that not everything is available at every bar by design because it kind of forces you to explore. I can see how that gets frustrating if you really only like to drink one thing, but I didn’t mind.

The other thing is that because of that, all the bars are programmed differently in their system, so they literally may not have a 1oz pour button. Definitely agree consistency for at least THAT could be improved!!!

I'm a little bit confused ... Is $90 the daily total limit ?  Is it unlimited drinks under $25 each PLUS two bottles ?  For example if hubby & I drank 4 drinks each @ $25 plus two bottles at $90 each = $380 in a single day.

The $90 limit only applies to the bottles of wine/liquor. It is unlimited drinks under $25 plus two bottles per day.

as mrbf said, it's 2 bottles of wine up to $90/bottle per day + unlimited drinks up to $25/drink.  hint hint, if you know you're not going to drink all the wine, you can absolutely take the bottles home.  we were megas for 9 nights and brought 2 wine shippers to take most of the bottles of wine + a few of the liquors home with us.

We sailed as megas in 5/22 and on the 2nd to the last day we asked the concierge if we are allowed to take the liquor we do not drink and she said sure. April 2023 we will be taking home much more than we did in May of 22.

I really like that concept and it's one of the reasons we're enjoy VV. If you think about being out in a place like Las Vegas, not every single bar is going to have all of the exact same drinks. So you have to explore, find out what each has and go to the one that makes the drinks you want. VV is treating the ship like that, no bland 'we make everything at every bar' set up.

Yep, I brought home about 5 bottles from our Scarlet Lady Cheeky Corner Suite. Tequila, Scotch, Vodka, Gin and the small bottles of wine. The ability to bring home all unused liquor is certainly something worthwhile about the VV Suites. 🙂

1 of my favorite things were the golf carts waiting for us at the ship in Bimini and not having to wait on the shuttle.

Do they count towards our 2 bottle limit for customs?  Did they even check?

There were 6 full size bottles in our room when we boarded, then we asked  to swap 2 of them for a Bulleit and Mezcal.  They just brought 2 full size of those without swapping.  We’d have to put ourselves on the national registry for liver transplants if we drank all that in 6 days!

We brought wine shippers through customs full of wine & liquor and they didn't check.  They asked if we bought any liquor/wine - we didn't "buy" any of it so we said no and he waved us through.

Customs has a $300 limit or something like that before you have to declare. We were under the limit so no declaration. They didn't check our bags.

They did the same with us, asked to swap and they just brought more. LOVE that! 🙂

We made the mistake of taking the tram on the way back to the ship since it was sitting right there, it was the roughest ride.  So uncomfortable, especially compared to the golf cart on the way there.  If I was not booked in a suite, that tram ride alone might make me consider staying on the ship rather than going to the beach.

Tram takes about 15-20 minutes.  There are multiple vehicles and they run back and forth all day.

Don't you have to wait for the tram to somewhat fill up before it leaves? The golf carts are constantly shuttling people.

Yes, you have to wait till it either fills up or the next one shows up.  But considering that there are now typically 1300 people on board and almost all want to get to the Beach Club, it doesn't take long to fill.  When the next one returns, the one filling will depart regardless of how full it is.....at least in the early/mid morning and for returns in the afternoon.
