Pre-cruise Specialty Restaurants reservations...

6 of us traveling on our first Viking ocean cruise (Venus).  We're all reg balcony cabins.

Unlike our previous Viking river cruises with just One main dining room sitting & no other specialty dining restaurants, Online Dining reservations on myvikingjourney opens next week, & we have a few questions.

Are we assigned an early or late dining time, or anytime dining at the main restaurant?

How many, or can all 6 of us make at least One reservation each to Manfredi's & Chef's Table?  Is there a min & max number of reservations avail for the 7 nights?

Beer, Wine, & soft drinks avail for lunch & dinner, which is fine for most of us.  But if One of us want/need to buy the silver spirits pkg, does the other spouse in same cabin have to purchase it also...?

Thanks,

There are no set dining times for the main dining room. At the specialty restaurants, if one of you makes a reservation for all 6 of you before the cruise, it counts as everyone’s on guaranteed reservation. The person doing the booking will need all the booking numbers to book the whole group. Once you are board you can reserve as much as you want. Yes, both people in a cabin need to purchase SS.

Depending on your stateroom category you may be limited to the number of bookings you can make in advance.

Download the Viking Voyager App.  As soon as you board the ship, access the ship wifi and the  app and you can book multiple additional reservations for your group.  We have done this several times now and it works like a charm.

We happen to book the lowest level stateroom and we have managed to use the app on embarkation and get reservations to the specialty restaurants as many nights as we have wanted.

As the last responder stated, there are no seating times for The Restaurant, you go when you are ready and you will get a table.
