Getaway Haven spa Stateroom

We are thinking about upgrading to the Haven spa balcony stateroom on the Getaway.  For those that have stayed in the Haven spa room on the Getaway is it worth the extra cost?  (Ie. Use of Haven restaurant, Haven courtyard and sun deck, Butler, Thermal spa access, etc)  We would be upgrading from a Club balcony  room with paid access to the thermal spa.

Without a doubt, it would be worth it....to me. We always get the thermal suite pass. The rooms are amazing! I actually stayed in a Haven Penthouse Suite on the Getaway (14130), basically the same room design as the Spa Balcony, including the jacuzzi tub that can fit two with a gorgeous view looking out toward the balcony.

The Haven is the only way to sail (for my husband and I). You'll have to figure out if the value proposition is worth it to you given that you'll be paying a bit extra to upgrade to the Haven. We absolutely love the Haven Restaurant, having access to the concierge (no lineup at guest services), and the courtyard with the two hot tubs and pool.

If you have tender ports, it's nice to have priority and not wait in line with a thousand of your new friends. Slipping off the staff elevator to disembark on the last day makes the experience of leaving your cruise better, and more efficient.

I could go on and on, but I think you can tell I'm a bit biased. We have only cruised Haven as a couple and I don't think that'll change. If you go Haven, enjoy yourself! If you don't go Haven, I've been assured by others that the cruise will still be glorious!

Do it! Last week I just changed our cabin from a Spa Balcony to a Haven Spa Balcony on the Getaway for our 1-8-23 cruise. When it was all said and done the cost to do it was $500 less than my max bid in the "Good" range. We had a Haven cabin on the Escape in 2019 and it was great

We just got off the Getaway on 10/29. We had a thermal spa pass and were in a Haven 2BR suite (16120, right off the Haven lounge, super convenient, and I would book this cabin again in a heartbeat). It is 100% worth the experience of cruising in the Haven, assuming you can afford it, and now I feel like I can't cruise any other way. The restaurant has some of the (if not the) best food on the ship, the concierge was surprisingly useful, the butler anticipated most of our needs before we could ask (I never thought we would use the butler at all), and the priority embarkation/disembarkation both at the beginning/end and at all ports was an awesome perk. I also appreciated being escorted to shows so we didn't have to wait a year for an elevator, plus you get a seat down toward the front of the theater.

I was unfortunately unhappy with the atrium and surrounding areas because of the smoke emanating from the casino (I'm very sensitive to it, so YMMV), so we spent almost all our time time in the Haven outside of shows and taking the kids to Splash Academy, the ropes course, the water slides, or the arcade. As such, we were very grateful to have had the Haven as a literal retreat.
