Rare Coral Posted March 5, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2006 P&O's Oriana stopped there last September (Manhattan pier was full) as one of the ports of call on the cruise. It served its purpose but there was no luggage handling done because it was just a cruise stop (not embarkation/disembarkation). I am not too worried about it being done. A terminal building is pretty basic and doesn't require a complicated building. Thanks for the update.
momthecruisedirector Posted March 6, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2006 Seattle doesn't have a pretty pier either for Princess or Holland America. It's just a large warehouse with a decent paint job and a large uncovered lot to park your car. The NCL (Pier 66) is nice, there is a museum, restaurants, waterfront activities, etc. We've sailed on Princess twice out of Seattle and though it isn't a shopping/eating/sightseeing area it is run effectively to get us onboard. We're sailing on the Crown this summer and I have faith (naive??) that everything will be just fine.
