P340 ?

For the solo cruisers that are familiar with this, a question and or clarification.

When a promo such as the 30% off all cruisers is offered does this negate the P340 benefit, are they combinable, or does the promo just reduce the value of the P340. 

I will be eligible for this after next cruise and just wondering if I should wait until eligible for P340 or just go ahead and book a cruise now.
