Looking for recent experiece with Princess insurance

goodwill. and yes you have to book by 4/1/23 so if that date passes it really has zero value unless i take the cruise. but to me it has value because it made my cruise cheaper! i think that is value. 

 

the inference from TA and steve seems to both be that princess will give me back the FCC but no one has outright said it

I think you misunderstand. Steve will not insure them because they have no cash value. 


Princess requires you to insure the full amount; but if you cancel for a covered reason, you’ll be refunded only the actual dollar amount you paid. The FCC will be returned to your account, but they will be allowed to expire with no refund.

 

Take another look at Terms & Conditions Paragraph 3. I think your TA and the Princess agent were missing some key details about the nature of your FCC to give you an accurate answer.

 

Consider the goodwill FCC to be a discount. You won’t be getting them replaced if you cancel.
