Solo Cruisers

I've tried asking this question on the solo cruisers forum without any luck, so I thought I'd try here:

Does anyone know any good solo cruisers web sites or feeds for people based in the UK.

Most of the ones I find are for North American based people.

TIA

(Next solo cruises: 24th Dec 2022, Bellissima out of Barcelona, 25th March, Britannia transatlantic)

No, sadly not. P&O attract a good number of solo cruisers and the new Ambassador Cruise Line has a good number of cabins designated for solos and reasonable prices. Fred Olsen and Saga attract a lot of mature solo pax. Saga are mega-expensive unless you always book a balcony cabin.

I've sailed solo on P&O a fair bit. They tend to group solo pax together on mdr tables if you are on the set dining time option and there is usually a morning coffee meet arranged every sea day (this used to be hosted pre-Covid but isn't at present). The age demographic skews older but there are normally a few of us under 70...😁

I did do one Marella Cruise pre-Covid and they had a solo host who arranged a get-together in a bar on the first & second evenings. A group of us then arranged to meet every evening for drinks and then go in to dinner together.

Since posting this, I've found a company, Passion for Cruising, who do have a lot of solo cruises.

My issue with them is all the best deals are posted on Farcebook, so I've had to create a fracking Farcebook account just to view their deals. First time I've ever been on Farcebook or any of the other social media sites, and it will the last

Funny how they call themselves "social media" when all they seem to do is an unsocial division of ordinary people.

Rant over, as you were
