bbunch04 Posted November 23, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2022 Looking for recommendations for a whale watching tour in Loreto while we are in port. Or perhaps a whale watching/snorkel combo tour. Anyone have any recommendations?? TIA, KB
SHIP TRAVELER Posted November 26, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 26, 2022 Not about whale watching but we enjoyed Loreto a lot. We walked to the old town area from the ship and had a great fish taco and margarita at a shady little hole in the wall. Very friendly people but not so touristy. In fact we almost missed the city because we turned the wrong way. Walk past the LORETO photo op sign a few blocks and turn right to walk to the church. There was not TI booth and no taxis at the pier so we were mystified. It is a DIY kind of place in our opinion.

Walk past the taxis and about two blocks later, there is a pedestrian-only street under an arch that is the beginning of the tourist stroll. If you turn right from the tender pier, you are at the beach.
