Upgrading an existing reservation

Is it possible to upgrade an existing reservation a month prior to a cruise?  We are cruising at the end of dec on apex and i noticed today the prices have definitely come down, especially on the suites.  Has anyone upgraded their cabins so close to the sail date and if so, how?  Through your TA, Or directly with Celebrity?    Ive never upgraded a cabin after the final payment so im not sure how or if its even possible.

\I thought about an upgrade for a cruise booked directly through Celebrity.  The price they quoted me was higher than what they advertised on their website. I would have had to pay the difference between what I originally paid and the price they quoted.  Also, any promos (eg, OBC) that you originally had go away and are replaced by what is available now.

 

Anyway, it is worth a try. Contact whoever you originally booked with (i.e., Celebrity or TA) and ask for a quote.  You can always say no.
