Paying for Drinks

When you order a drink, do they swipe your ship card or what?:confused:

I can only speak for RCI, your Seapass is used for everything onboard. The only exception I can remember is cash (small bills) for tipping room service etc. or giving something extra to bartenders etc.

Which cruiseline? It helps if we know.

 

Carnival, for instance, looks at your S&S card, writes your cabin number on a ticket and you sign it and get a copy.

ALL cruise lines have a form of " sail & sign" which is hooked up to your credit card. Yes for 'every drink' your card will have to be swiped. Before you go make sure there's lots of room on that card.

as i recall hal does not swipe the card--they handwrite it --you sign it and they give you a copy
