Hilton Ft. Lauderdale/Sunrise

Has anyone stayed at the Hilton Ft. Lauderdale in Sunrise. This is near the Sawgrass Outlet mall.

The Hilton your referring to is 9.2 miles west of the Sawgrass Mills Outlet. It's a typical Hilton geared towards the business traveler. It sit's on a busy road, Sunrise Blvd, safe area, fine for one night.

There's a nice Crowne Plaza on the perimeter of Saw Grass Mills Outlet http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/cp/1/en/hd/fllss that is nicer then the Hilton. ;)

[cruizing with teens]

We did a bit of research as we have 2 days before our cruise and want to do some shopping (we have 2 teen girls!!). We chose Hampton Inn in Plantation, 5 miles from Sawgrass Mills and right beside another mall, restaurants, etc. It looks fairly new with a nice pool area and includes breakfast--$123 a night. We checked into the CrownPlaza adjacent to the mall but found it quite expensive with no breakfast (although the hotel looks very nice).

The Hampton Inn in Plantation as well as the Amerisuites Plantation are both fine hotels close enough for Sawgrass or the Broward Mall next door and the Fashion Mall across the street. (yes, we have a lot of malls around here :p )
