Late cancellation? Any hope MSC

Hello looking for advice before the call to MSC. My dad and I were set to sail on the 18th on the meraviglia. He had a stroke yesterday. 
 

Looks like it’s a 100% penalty . 
 

I didn’t get insurance (bad choice I know)

 

Any chance I can get a credit? 
 

or try to sell the 2 cabins privately ? Yacht Club w 500 on board credits.

Reading online it’s 1 month for the change

Looks like a name change is allowed, but I will call and see what I can do.

Yeah, it is weird.  If you call and say you have Covid you can change your cruise any time before boarding, but for a stroke you can’t.  Weird world we live in.
