Any suggestions for parking at Cape Canaveral. Going on the Mariner of the Seas January 30th and driving to the port from Orlando

Actually you're sailing from Port Canaveral.   In 2019 we parked at garage by terminal.  On return the porter went with us to the car in the garage.   Just note garage elevator was slow.  Our cruise was cut short by 1 day and were only charged for 6 days even though paid on arrival for 7.

If you paid at entry, you likely parked at Terminal 1 in 2019.
The OP is sailing on Mariner which sails from Terminal 5 this season.  Cars pay at exit.

The garages at the terminals are more convenient than off site lots, though they do cost a bit more.  Like the rest of us, the OP will need to weigh the cost vs convenience.  Lately we have chosen convenience.

Oasis was only ship in port that day. Anyway it was almost 4 year's ago so don't recall which terminal!  Dh does recall that we paid when pulling in. No one there when we left so surprised that we were only charged for 6 days.  Cruise had been cut short due to a major noro outbreak on the ship and none of the ports wanted us. We were fine.

This is a great place. Shuttle service to the ship and secure parking lot. we have used them several times.

I used to use this place a lot. Now, it is really only beneficial on long cruises and even then there is not that much of a savings. Currently on three day cruises the port is $68 and park Port Canaveral is 63.46

There are fees they have now, that they didn't have pre Covid. Oh well.

Oasis Class embarks at Terminal 1…Wonder and Indy are using T1 this season.   Jewel and Mariner are using T5 this season.

Were you on the one that returned Saturday Jan 12, 2019 rather than the 13th?  I was on that cruise and also stayed healthy.  If it was the same one, perhaps you walked off super early or drove away without looking around the port, but there were other ships in Port Canaveral that Saturday.  You should be glad you parked in the garage.  It was a difficult day for the shuttle drivers & passengers, as there had far more people to transport to off-site lots due to Oasis early arrival.

Same cruise. No, don't think we got off super early.  Guess i didn't look to see other ships.  Headed north to Jacksonville for the night and then Hilton Head.  Anyway garage worked very well.
