boopuff Posted December 12, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2022 Thanks to reading a lot of helpful stuff on these boards, my first cruise in forever was a blast. Boarding was easy , not much of a wait. Our room , concierge room was lovely. We weren’t sure what to expect on board, and the food and activities were just great. We thought that we’d get board, but we found lots to do, loved the sunset and mast bars. Didn’t see much chair hogging, but for the most part we utilized the chairs on the upper deck. Didn’t see kids ( except for one clueless family with a baby in diapers swimming in the solarium pool - better signage needed at the door saying adults only) the family made a lot of noise, but that was really the only bummer. The shows were fun, and such friendly staff. Sign me up for another cruise!

How did you like the cabin decor, furniture, etc?
George C Posted December 12, 2022 #3 Share Posted December 12, 2022 We like the summit also did it in February and booked for March. It’s even better in a Royal suite.
boopuff Posted December 12, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted December 12, 2022 I thought the cabin we had on the 8th deck midship, was nice. The bathroom was surprisingly small-ish (we have an rv and so this bathroom didn’t shock us) our room steward Anthony, was so efficient. Room was very clean upon arrival. Love the balcony, 8th floor is very quiet.

We were in Summit PH in September 2021 and she had been "revolutionized". The floor boards were in blues and grays, like waves. Took a few hours to acclimatize but it was actually very relaxing/soothing. The walls were a similar blue/gray, and it grew on us. Kelly's furniture was not as comfortable as I'd like, but it was reasonably comfortable. The bed was great.......but we've never encountered an uncomfortable bed on X. Did wonder if I needed an Engineering degree to work out the lights and their dimmer systems, but finally got the hang of them....I think 🙂. Bathroom sinks were funky but functional. (I am a conservative traditionalist........yikes! so factor this into my comments.)
