Piraeus to Athens half day tours.

We used Athens Walks.  It was a great tour.  The guide had an archeology degree and really added to the experience.

If I understand you correctly and you are booked on a cruise that starts in Pireus, and want to do a half-day-tour before embarking the ship, then why not just stay in Athens the night before? You will then have much more choices for your half-day tour. And taxi from downtown Athens to Pireus cruise port (literally next to the ship) have a fixed price of €25.

We booked several tours with this company when we were in Athens last year. Used them for airport transfers. Went in a day early so did a full day Meteora tour with them. Then when we were back for our stop in Athens on the cruise (our cruise left from Cyprus) we used them for a half day tour for a private tour of the South to a nice lake and the Poseidon temple with a stop for lunch.

Stay in Athens. It's literally 8.2 miles from downtown Athens to Piraeus cruise port. You'll have many more options in Athens and it is very pleasant in the evening as well, dining in the Plaka, for example.
