Collapsible Cooler?

This may seem sort of stupid but I have read where it is suggested you bring a collapsible cooler on board. I can't seem to picture what this looks like. Does anyone have a photo?

They leak like a sive... quite a mess. A real pain in the patootie. I talk from experience. I'm bringing a little 9 quart hard sided cooler on this next trip.

Have the Ci Sport High Performance with one piece liner. Has wheeled folding platform and collapsabile handle. Paid $25 at COSTCO.

I know they have different sizes of coolers. Does the cruise line use bottles or cans of beer? and if they have bottels, are they plastic one's:D ?

I just asked my DH and he said that the Corona comes in a glass bottle, and he believes the rest come in cans. I don't remember seeing any plastic bottles for beer. That would just be wrong!

in the collapsible we put our ice in the ziploc bags and then no problem with leakage....

I purchased a collapsable cooler in Miami... had it filled all week with ice.. never leaked once.. think I paid 10bucks for it... It held 12 beers at a time with ice...

 

You can get cans 12oz.. or plastic bottles.. miller I think 16oz and bud or budlite 16oz aluminium cans.. If you order Corona on the lido they poor it into a plastic cup...

My mom got one on sale at Gordmans. We kept it in the bathroom, but it never leaked and our room steward was always filling it with ice!

Our cooler has never leaked either. Wouldn't cruise without one. Great for shore excursions and beach days too. We usually give our room steward some extra $$ on the first day and politely ask that he/she always keep it filled with ice. Going home, I fill it with dirty laundry and check it as a piece of luggage.

i line mine with a heavy garbage bag. then if there is going to be a leak the bag will stop it. works like a charm. i love mine and have it in my checked bag ( folded up ). easy as pie.;)

Freeze a couple of your water bottles to keep things super cold and then as they unfreeze you have a nice cold water bottle to enjoy!!!

how do you freeze water on the ship? is the fridge that cold :confused:
