Kaua'i--Fern Grotto closed?

I was looking at recent reviews of excursions to the Fern Grotto which said that this past week the path to the fern grotto was closed due to downed trees...I am wondering if anyone here knows if this is temporary or will be a long term problem? Thank you for any information.
