Prefer bigger ships or smaller ships ( new vs. old)?

I personally prefer the smaller ships. They seem to give more personalized service with less crowds. Yes, you sacrifice some new “bells and whistles “ and added uncharged speciality restaurants. Plus the smaller ship are easier to navigate and the “learning curve” is greatly diminished. The larger ship seem to take your entire cruise to figure out and then you have to leave!
