Many years ago, I met a young man on The Pearl as a Maitre'd.  From there he began a Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Director, Assistant Hotel Director and now he is a Hotel General Manager.  I am not positive at the moment but I think he will open the Viva as Hotel General Manager.  So many staff I have met have gone on to become Senior Officers.  It is nice to know where they are and how they are doing.

Has anyone seen Y'anique onboard lately? She was our cruise director on Getaway in April, 2022. She, and her, at the time assistant, Will Oliva, are the only two cruise director's we've actually cared about. My husband and I were thinking about Y'anique, from Jamaica (don't know her last name), over the weekend so I thought I'd ask here.

But not on the ships. Some others are still with NCL just not on the ships

Let's correct this. I was talking of crew still on the ships and was well aware of the situation. Who is Teo Grbic not on my post?

And I forgot Prem Kanikanara  (First class HD/GM)

 

You seem to have rudely not copied Papi and Richard Janicki who should always be remembered both of whom were giants of the industry. 

 

BTW check your facts regarding the Viva.

Y'anique is great! She was our Assistant CD on one of the first Encore sailings back to Alaska in September 2021. She actually had to take over as CD for the cruise as our CD got covid. What a ball of energy she is!  And FYI, her last name is Smith. I hope to see her on another NCL cruise soon.
