PAcruiser25 Posted January 3, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2023 Hi! For those of you who have done a Hawaii cruise, would you recommend leaving from Long Beach or San Francisco? We are thinking of spending a few days sightseeing maybe after the cruise and don't like renting a car - maybe SF is better for that reason? And this would be in Sept or Oct. Thanks! groundloop Posted January 3, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2023 We did Hawaii from San Francisco this past September and it was great. I really enjoyed the extra time we spent in San Francisco both before and after the cruise. My wife is an even bigger baseball fan than I am so I got tickets to a Giants game, that's a really nice stadium with a fantastic view of the bay. We also went to Alcatraz and later did a sunset bay cruise. I've never been to Long Beach so can't give any kind of comparison, but I think you'd have a superb time leaving out of San Francisco. oakridger Posted January 4, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2023 Late September and October are the best months weather wise to visit San Francisco! Usually it is clear and warmer, while July is cold and foggy! Have fun!
