Enter Japan QR codes on paper OK?

Some of my group do not carry cell phones. Does anyone know if the QR codes can be printed and brought with the person for showing at the border. We are arriving into Narita.

Apparently the process itself recommends printing the PR codes and bringing them in case you do not have internet access on your phones. So answered my own question.

All Japanese Airports have free internet / WIFI.

While it is still possible to exist and operate in Japan without a mobile telephone, it is quite difficult and time-consuming.

One can use a paper printed QR code when entering Japan, but you will be forced to get into yet another line to visit yet another desk to do so
