julesbravo Posted January 8, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2023 Is there any insurance that will cover if you change your employer or become unemployed? I have a sabbatical with my employer coming up and want to book a trip but I’d hate if I changed jobs and lost the sabbatical that I’d have to lose all the money for the trip. Hi Julesbravo, How long will you have the new job before you take the cruise? Steve Dasseos
julesbravo Posted January 11, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted January 11, 2023 This is hypothetical. Like what would happen if I got fired before my trip?

Getting fired isn't a covered reason to cancel a trip.

Rare GeezerCouple Posted February 2, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 2, 2023 3 hours ago, just G said: Don’t they have “cancel for any reason” policies? Yes, there is CFAR coverage in some policies. But as Steve wrote (and he is the expert here!), getting fired is not a "covered reason". If one doesn't have something extra, such as CFAR, then there's no coverage at all in that situation. And CFAR has some timing restrictions; it usually (always?) must be invoked at least 48 hours before departure, not truly "last minute".
