Guindalf Posted January 10, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2023 We'll be in Cabo in a couple weeks and it's a tender port. We'll be on the Celebrity Solstice. Is it possible to take a scooter ashore? It's a Pride travel scooter that comes apart if that makes a difference.
kokopelli-az Posted January 11, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2023 Generally scooters are not allowed on tenders unless roll-on capability is available. You might contact Celebrity's Access Department (you've already notified them you are bringing a scooter, correct?) and ask if it possible to board the tender if you break down your scooter. Here's their contact information if you don't already have it: Access Department (954) 628-9708 (voice), e-mail special_needs@celebrity.com This is directly from Celebrity's website: ...Many ports provide easy access for wheelchairs and scooters, however due to various conditions: steepness of the gangway, tendering, weather, tidal and sea conditions, and shore-side facilities, guests using assistive devices may be precluded from getting on or off the ship. We will make reasonable efforts to assist our guests, but for safety reasons, our staff is not permitted to lift guests or equipment. Assistance with manual wheelchairs, walkers, canes, etc. will be provided.
