Landing in St Thomas today at 12

Have our 86 year old mother with us and she can get around pretty good. Any suggestions on what to do? Beach with indoor facilities if she wants to get out of the sun for a while? Any place to visit to see the history of the island? (She likes that stuff). I did a poor job of planning ahead for this cruise.

Are you on the Royal Caribbean Reflection of the Seas? If so, Emerald Beach is a short taxi drive away, and there are an open air and an air conditioner restaurant right on the beach. You can rent chairs and umbrellas. Inflatable water park on the beach within walking distance if you also have kids. 

 

The official name of the bay is Linbldbergh because he landed there many years ago. The area also used to be a U.S. submarine base.
