shuttle service to portin Tampa question

I normal cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. When I do, I normally take the car rental shuttle from the airport to the pier. Since I rented a car, there's no charge for this service.

I wondering if the car rental agents offer this in Tampa. If not, how much is a cab from the airport to the port. Thanks

I know Avis and Budget offer free shuttle from the airport to the port. They will even pick you up at the port when you return. Taxi is $20.

Thanks, I normally stick with Alamo for rentals. Do anyone know if Alamo offers this service? Or should I just call the local rental to find out?

Budget doesn't offer airport to port service.

 

I booked them thinking that they did, but when I asked when I picked up my pre-cruise car they acted as if I was crazy and said the port isn't far and to take a taxi. (This is as of yesterday July 6)..so looks like I'm taking a taxi to the port when I return the car

In March the flat rate for a taxi from the airport to the port was $20.00.
