sas80 Posted March 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2006 We are renting a car to get us to port canaveral on the sunday our cruise departs. We plan on stopping by Costco or Sam's to purcahse a bottle of liquor and some bottled water for the cruise. Does anyone know what, or if, florida/orlando county has any liquor laws that prohibit the sale of liquor on a sunday? thanks!
AlDubya Posted March 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2006 We purchased wine in Port Canaveral before our cruise departure on a Sunday. I'm not sure about liquor, though.
LizzyDragon Posted March 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 8, 2006 As long as you're not trying to buy the liquor before 11am on Sunday, you should be okay.

beverland Posted March 8, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 8, 2006 Some counties do have certain hours it can be sold on Sunday, but most counties do not. Typically, you can purchase alcohol 24-7 in Florida. Check out ABC Liguors if you can't find a Sam's or Costco. They are all over Florida and typically have decent prices. pcur Posted March 8, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 8, 2006 Don't forget you take your chances getting the liquor on board due to RCCL's newest policy about pax bringing their own liquor with them. Put it in your luggage you give to the porter at the dock, not your carry-on.

We always put the booze into the checked/porter'ed luggage and never have any issues getting it onboard!
