When to do online check in

At what point can you do online check in?

it has been awhile since cruising with Carnival. Is it at that point you pick your arrival time. If we are platinum do we still pick a time.  In the past platinum could arrive whenever.

Correct, check in determines your arrival time. If you are Platinum you can check in 16 days prior to departure.

Hey there. Everybody gets to do online check-in 14 days prior to the sailing date. 1201 a.m. eastern time. If your platinum, you get to do it 2 days early, 16 days prior to the sailing date 12:01 Eastern Time. Everybody gets to choose their preferred check-in time based on availability. First come first serve. Platinum will get the advantage of being able to choose first as your check-in is 2 days earlier than everybody else.

We arrived a couple of hours after our appointment time on our past two cruises out of Galveston (Dream NYE '22 & Breeze Dec 1 '22) and were waived into the priority line anyway. Really nice perk - less than 10 mins total each time to get on the ship. Not sure if this is standard again or not though...

I usually do online check in a day or two before I leave for the cruise even though I can do  earlier as Platinum.

 

No rush to board early,  Just happy to be on board before the ship sails!

Yep.  And if you board late enough you can avoid the lines, breeze through check-in, and go directly to your cabin.
