knl03 Posted January 21, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2023 Has anyone been in a seven seas suite on Explorer or Splendor and can offer an opinion? I’ve looked through the seat guru, and there aren’t any reviews. Google does come up with some youtube suite tours but no reviews. Primarily have concerns about the forward location. Too windy on the balcony? Do you have to keep the curtains closed in the evening? Motion problems? Thanks for any input!
The German Guys Posted January 22, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2023 We are right now in a Seven Seas Suite on Splendor. It’s just our second day, but we really like the suite. The decor and the size of the suite is perfect and very comfortable. Our highlight is the bathroom with daylight, the view, the beautiful marble and rain shower. The balcony is great, very nice views forward and around. Indeed, it’s windy today, but on the pool deck it’s windy as well. So, let’s see how it will be in the next days.. Our butler did let us know, that the bridge could request to close the forward curtains in the evening. But this isn’t an issue at all for us. You can’t see anything anyway. He did not mention anything about the curtains to the balcony. So far there isn’t any motion problem. We can get back to you for an update at the end of the cruise. For now, we would definitely book the suite again
knl03 Posted January 22, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted January 22, 2023 Thank you! I look forward to hearing your summary review at the end.
The German Guys Posted February 2, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 2, 2023 Here is our final review…. As already mentioned, we felt very well in the Seven Seas Suite. It is beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished. As in any other forward or aft cabin, of course you feel the motion more than midship. It was windy and rough on the first two days, but still okay for us. So we couldn’t use the veranda often. At that same time the upper pool deck was also closed due to the strong winds. After that, we used the veranda more often for a drink, canapés and to have privacy when the pool deck has been crowded. Of course you have to take in mind that it is more windy in front of the ship. We have already booked the Seven Seas Suite again for one of our upcoming cruises. We are happy to have done so. And yes, we had to close the curtains in the evening. But this wasn’t a problem for us at all. You can’t see anything at night and in the morning you can open it via remote control from your bed to enjoy the view again!

ILoveMyDogs Posted February 2, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 2, 2023 Is there a TV in the bedroom ?
The German Guys Posted February 2, 2023 #7 Share Posted February 2, 2023 Yes, of course. TV will be activated via remote control. It comes up from the side board in front of the window. So you could have everything under control from your bed 😂🤩 We haven’t done a picture. But I will do a search.
The German Guys Posted February 2, 2023 #8 Share Posted February 2, 2023 I just did a research. You can find it online, I assume I’m not allowed to publish pictures from online research

Hearts51 Posted February 25, 2023 #10 Share Posted February 25, 2023 We were on Explorer in Aug ‘22 and the bedroom TV was static hanging above the storage units to the side of the window. The storage units were also different - lower with a lid rather than drawers. We used these for bulkier items like day bags / shopping we acquired… It also looks like the vanity unit which was separate on Explorer has been incorporated into the run of storage units. Just mentioning this as you asked for info on both ships We loved the room / bathroom / amenities and had no issues with movement but wouldn’t book again as we personally didn’t get a lot of use from the balcony. Ours seemed narrower / more cramped than above picture (we were deck 8). Some of the space was taken up with a large storage bin for the furniture cushions. Cruise was around Greece / Turkey but we did still notice the wind.
