Latitudes Points for kids/teens

Do children get Latitudes points?  My daughter is now 18, we are going on her 4th NCL cruise next Sunday.  First one was when she was 11.

 

They have always been the 3/4/kids sail free promotion, but I'm just wondering if they would get any credit for those or if they need to be guest 1 or 2?

Yes and no.  If under 18, no Latitudes status.  However, upon turning 18, on first subsequent cruise points earned as a minor are credited.

Our DS went on several cruises with us before he turned 18. When he was 20 we took him on a cruise and when we boarded he got his cruise card with Gold status. It was his first cruise since aged 16.

No status until they turn 18, and then they magically jump up in rank on their first completed trip.

When they turn 18 they will get status based on cruises as minor.  My DS went on every cruise with me and then went on one with a friend.  When we go on our next cruise he will be Platinum and I will only be Gold.
