Arrow34 Posted January 23, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2023 Hi all, I just wanted to know if the humidor cigar lounge was still open and available? If so, how are drinks handled, have to go get a drink and bring it in or?
quillwercruisers Posted April 25, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 25, 2023 We were on in March and yes the cigar lounge is still open. As far as drink service goes, I think it depends on how busy the bars are. I saw waiters taking drinks in there, but I don't know if it was real consistent. Enjoy your cruise.
jcollin Posted April 25, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 25, 2023 Following. How were the prices for the cigars? I wondering if it's better to pack a few or if they are reasonable just getting them on-board. On the Escape the cigar lounge was right next to the whiskey bar and the server went in a lot for drinks.
Arrow34 Posted April 25, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted April 25, 2023 I would think they would be on the expensive side and maybe not well humidified. I am bringing dozens myself. I usually smoke 1-3 a day while on vacation and tend to hand a few out.
quillwercruisers Posted April 25, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 25, 2023 On the Jewel the cigar lounge is next to Le Bistro, and in the same area as the Champagne & Martini bars. Although all 3 bars are next to each other. It gets pretty crowded in there at times according to the DH. As far as pricing goes, DH says that they are more expensive than what you would probably pay at home. He is like @Arrow34 where he tends to smore 1-3 a day while on vacation so he brings a lot with him as well.

Lightnin42 Posted April 27, 2023 #9 Share Posted April 27, 2023 If you want to be outside go up to the pit stop bar, deck 13. I was on the Jewel last week and there were a couple of cigar smokers mixed in with the cigarette smokers. Enjoy your trip!
Arrow34 Posted April 27, 2023 Author #10 Share Posted April 27, 2023 Thx, I don't mind doing that if the sun is shining and it isn't below 40. Time will tell. Thx
Elvis1209 Posted May 23, 2023 #11 Share Posted May 23, 2023 Cigars on the ship are highly over-priced and in, my experience, not stored properly. They tend to be on the dry side. You are much better off by getting a travel humidor and taking a few of your own sticks. For a weeklong cruise I would suggest about 30 to 40 cigars, unless you're a heavy smoker, then I would bring 50! Elvis
