Seward to Anchorage options?

We are considering booking an Alaskan cruise on Celebrity Millennium which arrives in Seward on June 16th. How do you get from Seward to the airport in Anchorage?

Several options.

Celebrity will charter an early morning train from the Seward cruise terminal directly to the Anchorage Airport.  This charter is booked directly through the cruise line.

There will be evening train service purchased from the Alaska Railroad.  This leaves the Seward ARR station and travels directly to the ARR downtown Anchorage rail station.

If you "google" something along the lines of motor coach service between Seward and Anchorage you will find names of motor coach services.

If you use the search function on this forum you should be able to locate several discussion threads on this subject.

In addition to railroad service, Alaska Cruise Transportation provides a motorcoach transfer service between Seward and the Anchorage airport at a lower fare.

The train shows beautiful scenery. It is ranked as one of the best in North America for scenery. Highly recommend.

If you have the option - Seward is a great town to explore for a few days, even if you can just spend one night. Most people miss it as they go right from the ship to the train/bus to Anchorage.

Most people completely skip Seward when they take a cruise arriving Seward from Anchorage and departing Seward the same day.  That is a mistake.  Seward is a beautiful community with much to offer.  If you can stay over one night do it.  If you head down on the ship transfer bus, you will go directly to the cruise terminal which is a bit of a hike from town and that is why most people just overlook Seward.  There is a cab service in town, but don't think it is anything like in a big city.  If you are interested, contact them in advance or call the Seward visitor's office.  They are great help.  There is also a shuttle, but not sure if it offers a stop at the cruise terminal...I don't think so but could be wrong.
