New Orleans: flight after disembarking

Will be on the 3/3 6-night cruise out of NOLA. We have a 12:15 return flight booked after cruise. Does disembarkation go quickly? Would a cruise line transfer get us to the airport on time or better to get our own transportation? Are taxis readily available at the port?

We are cruising in December and thinking of using Carnival's transportation back to airport. When you book the transportation you can pick your time to depart with a one hour time frame.  Hope this helps.

When is the earliest anyone would book a flight out of NOLA on departure date?  Planning soon.

We have an 11:45am flight  on departure morning. We will be  using carnival transportation to get us there.
