Free drinks in the Casino

I’ve seen it be hit and miss..

On a 10-day Alaska cruise on Miracle..the servers damn near followed us around haha

on a 3-day Ensenada run on Radiance, there just weren’t enough servers to keep up with the constantly jam-packed casino

on a 4-day Catalina run on Radiance; there were too many servers, so my drink would take forever because the FIRST server never came back! (At one point I said screw it and started ordering a shot from every server who came by..lol, I lined up six shots from the six different servers that cycled through before that first order came back)

Seems pretty ignorant to have six servers work the same area of slot machines…

I would walk up to a server who was filling orders at the bar and ask them for a drink and they always helped me. Bartenders always said they weren’t allowed. It is a pain, but it is a free drink! I didn’t use that much the one time I had it.

The last cruise we were on, I had free drinks everywhere, wife only in the casino, 4 or 5 times we sat at the bar expecting to pay for her drink, the bartender each time carried her card over to the wait staff serving the casino so that her drink would show on there cash register, so we go her drinks for free also at the bar. Needless to say we tipped both the waitress and the bartender

Could never get a drink at the slots. Tried the casino bar for the freebie. No luck, ended up buying a drink.. Play the tables..Drinks galore!!!

Just the opposite for us on last cruise.  Had to ask pit boss multiple time to get a server to stop by the table. While playing slots, no problem.  I guess every ship, every cruise seems to have different experience.  Overall, we have great luck getting plenty of free drinks.

My four day Radiance experience was similar.  I had no trouble ORDERING my drinks, but it took forever for them to actually arrive.  During that time, multiple other waiters asked if I wanted anything…

I agree on this.  Some waiters think they’ll make more money by talking a bunch of orders at once but then it takes forever to actually serve you.  The good ones take just a few and then deliver quickly.  Those are the ones I will order more drinks from and I just tell the others no thanks when they come by.

Curios how do they know you book the Casino offer?  I just booked it for the 1st time and was wondering how they know I qualify for a free drink

It should be in the system so when you order a drink in the casino, it’s comped. If it doesn’t come back comped, talk to the casino host/hostess.
