cru$craZe Posted February 1, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2023 Any recommendations for diving in Cozumel that will work with our time in port? We’ll be in Cozumel on Princess 2/28 and our ship sponsored excursion was cancelled. TIA
omeinv Posted February 1, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2023 If you want really excellent service, check with Sherief at Humarine. He may or may not be able to accommodate you based upon other commitments, but if he can, you'll get a level of service that isn't available elsewhere in Cozumel. Sherief was with Aldora for many years before stating Humarine, and provides that level of dive experience. Alas Aldora no longer works with cruise passengers. https://humarine.com/ If Sherief can't help, I've used Salty Endeavors in Cozumel for single day diving, and they were pretty good as well. Bobroo Posted February 4, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2023 Another popular method to find which of the nearly 100 dive operators on Cozumel to dive with is: 1) Find which port you are docking at (there are 3 possibilities) 2) Locate that port on Google Maps and do a search for SCUBA around it It's often preferable to find an operator that is walkable to/from the port at which you are docked. 1

lil93bit Posted January 21 #5 Share Posted January 21 ScubaLuis is another option. He too used to work with a larger operation and struck out on his own. I love his customized service.
Rare sambamama Posted February 24 #6 Share Posted February 24 Work WITH SOMEONE RIGHT NEAR YOUR SHIP! The traffic on this island is nuts! You will lose your dive time otherwise. Even if you don't go to the best reefs, it's OK. The visibility is worth it.
crock921 Posted April 17 #7 Share Posted April 17 as a divemaster myself, i like to be sure i am diving with a safe, reputable dive shop. What dive shops do you personally recommend based on experience? Dive Paradise will only do a private tour at $250pp because of dock time. I am waiting on humarine to get back to me. Are there any other dive shops you have used and liked? dock D, april 28, liberty of the seas. Thank you for your experiences
