Gijon? what to do? Cervigón hiking trail?

I haven't been to Gijon, but in my quest for seeing somewhat unusual things I've found:

 

looks quite unusual to me.  But I don't know how to get there.  I suppose car rental would be involved.

 

Cimaville part of Gijon is the old, historical part of Gijon

 

There are a couple of pretty interesting/huge art installations just outside Gijon

 

Luarca looks very cute to me, and I want to go.  But a drive is involved unless I want to pay for a somewhat expensive private tour

 

Lighthouses along the northern coast of Gijon, to east and west.

 

Cider is king in Gijon, apparently.
