dining on the spirit...

could someone please explain to me the dining areas on the Spirit?? we are cruising for the first time 6-11 and just realized that you have to pay in some of the dining areas......where are the free buffets??

The free buffet is Raffles on deck 12. At night, they portion off a portion of this area for Italian dining which is free but you need to make reservations.

The two dining rooms are on deck 6--Windows and Gardens

Cagney's is the Steakhouse with a $20.00/person cover charge but it is very good

Japanese food--reservations and cover charge.

 

I'm sure that others more knowledgable than I will fill you in further.:)

Thanks everyone....this clears it up a lil for me....as for the dress code.....can you wear shorts to dinner in raffles? or is it no shorts anywhere for dinner?

Can someone do a breakdown like that for the Dawn?? We're new to NCL and we're thinking of taking extended family and would like to show them their dining options.

No shorts for dinner, but NCL recently began allowing jeans, if they are not (very) ripped.

I didn't think there was any requirements for Raffles as to shorts etc. I believe the no shorts only applies to the dining rooms / specialty restaurants. I even saw kids with bathing suits in Raffles..which really was a no-no and they were told so. Other than that..I think I saw everyone with everything in there.

 

Fish in Henry's is from 12-2 only on sea days.

I thought the Fish & Chips in Henry's Pub were quite good. They were served with vinegar on the side. They might have had tartar sauce, too (sorry, not 100% certain).

The dress code in the buffet (Raffles) is almost "anything goes". Shorts are fine. No bathing suits without cover-ups and no bare feet. That's about it as far as restrictions.
