passport holders and airline security

I just bought a lightweight passport holder that can be worn around the neckwhich also holds bills and picture id's. If I wear it outside my shirt will security make me take it off? This holder has only velcro and no metal zippers and snaps.

 

Call me paranoid but I like to have my cash (bills), ID, and credit cards attached to me at all times. It may be obvious if I wear it under my shirt.

They shouldn't make you take it off. You should be fine. If you are worried, take your passport and ticket out of it when you go through the gate and tuck it in your shirt. (I wear mine and have never been asked to take it off.)

You should be just fine...use mine all the time and never had a problem..only once was asked to take it off around my neck,but hand held it anyway.

It must all depend on your airport. At SeaTac we have always been asked to take ours off. And ours sound like yours in that there is no metal anywhere on it.
