Wondering if anyone has a resonably priced hotel at Port Canaveral for a one day stay pre cruise. The Raddison is all I can find and thats too pricey for one night. I would rather save the cash for the ships casino :D Not fussy, just need a place to sleep:rolleyes:

Thanks in Advance!

You could also stay in Orlando for the night. You would have many more hotel options in Orlando.

If you are driving down I-95 to get to Port Canaveral, you could stop in Daytona for the night. Once again, you would have more options available.

It would be about an hour to the port from either Orlando or Daytona.

If you don't need alot of fuss, you could try the Econo-Lodge in Cocoa. It is only a few miles from the Port. There number is 321-632-4561. I live in the area and had some family members stay there. I am sure once you call them they can give you airport shuttle information.

A new Residence Inn just opened next to the Raddison. We got a good rate for next January. No shuttle to the port but I think they can arrange something. My DH likes to park at the port rather than deal with the shuttle so that was not an issue for us.

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express which was very nice, just down from the Radisson a little.

We have reservations for the new Residence Inn for our upcoming cruise. I was told that they do have shuttle service to the port, and you can leave your car there. I'll have to check on that. I know you can leave your car there, but may have to take a cab.

We have a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite with den and full kitchen for about 150.00 per night. Much better rate for a better room than the Radisson.

We still have our room booked at the Radisson also, didn't want to cancel reservation until I was sure that the new Residence Inn was going to open.

Each time we have sailed out of Port Canaveral, we have stayed at the Radisson. We love the Radisson but I have tenativly booked at the new Residence Inn set to open this month (march 2006). The rate was 129.00 with free hot breakfast every day, parking and a "social hour" Monday thru Thursday that offers beverages and snacks (we are going down on Wed pre cruise).

Not sure about the shuttle service... will call the actual Inn once they are open in about 9 days.

Booked Residence Inn for Nov for $99 for 1BR King suite. Supposedly there is a shuttle but I think they charge. I have read some "opinions" from people who have seen the outside and they seemed impressed with the hotel exterior.

I figure it's brand new, close to the port, includes breakfast and a seperate room from the kids--sounds like a good deal.

How did you get it for $99?

go to www.marriott.com and type in your dates. i got the rate with no codes or discounts. it's for 1 sat night stay in nov. the AAA rate was a few bucks cheaper but for a studio.

It's the dates... we are going in Sept. When I enter Sept it is still $129; Nov is $99.

Thank you for your response...and congratulations on a great rate!

Just got off the phone with the Residence Inn (they are still in transition, hoping to open May 20) inquiring as to their shuttle arrangement. They use Cocoa Beach Shuttle at a cost of $4 pp. to the cruise port.

You scared me there with the May 20th, since we have reservations for March 31 and April 1. I called and they said they were opening March 20th. I figured that that was just a typo, but I wanted to be sure. We still have our reservations at the Radisson also...I just don't want to cancel until I'm sure that the Marriott is going to open.

Soooo Sorry! Didn't mean to scare you. Glad you caught my mistake!

My husband wants to stay at the Radisson again. I do enjoy the Radisson but the Residence sounds great too. I would like to see some pictures of the pool area and such. Maybe once it is open the website will be updated. As of right now I will be holding on to my reservation there.

Since you will be there March/April, please post your review if you will.;) :)
