CFAR and preexisting conditions

if i plan a cruise for the end of 2024 and book it now, but wait to buy insurance until next summer, before final is due, are the only benefits i'm missing out on CFAR and preexisting conditions?

 

it's an expensive cruise and the cfar costs nearly 1000 more than without and if i'm thinking about it i'm just risking the date between final payment and cruise date as far as me just pulling out of the cruise because before final i can candel with no penalty except the NRD.

There are policies that allow the pre-existing conditions waiver at final payment, if that is of interest to you.

 

Otherwise, coverage for CFAR or financial default will not be available at that time.
