slyster Posted February 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2023 I have a 3 night dining package reserved for August cruise. I saw the following terms under it. For ships with these venues, Teppanyaki/Izumi Hibachi is included, with a $15 surcharge, and Chef's Table is included, with a $49.99 surcharge. These will be charged once onboard. I noticed that in the app, Izumi Hibachi costs $50.99, but 150 Central Park costs $54.99. Chops is also $54.99. Why is there a $15 surcharge? It seems to be cheaper than the other restaurants. It’s a way to control capacity from unlimited dining as seating in most of the Hibachis is very limited.
ARandomTraveler Posted February 16, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2023 I think the $15 surcharge is only in the event that you want the upgraded menu. That's how it was in November anyway.

slyster Posted February 16, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted February 16, 2023 Oh interesting. I never thought of the limited capacity. I guess that should be the first place we go when we board to make a reservation.
lonig Posted February 19, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 19, 2023 We went to Hibachi first and they made all our reservations for all 3 dinners. There was no one else in line, we just walked in and 10 minutes later were all set.
