Carnival Playa Dorada Beach Escape

Hi,

Carnival just recently listed this excursion for our upcoming cruise to Amber Cove.   There are no reviews on the Carnival website.  Has anyone done this excursion?  I understand that Playa Dorada is a very long beach and I was wondering what part of the beach this excursion includes.  Any info would be helpful.

Did you end up going to Playa Dorado? How was it? Would you recommend it? Going in about 2 weeks and trying to figure out what to do on our own at this island. Cruise excursions are excruciatingly expensive. lol

We just booked the Playa Dorada excursion for May 2nd. It seems like it would be slightly cheaper to just take a taxi, but we like the peace of mind of using the Carnival transportation. If I remember, I will come back here and post a review afterwards!

None of the other beach excursions have stellar reviews, so I’m eagerly awaiting reviews for this excursion.   Either that, or I’d really like to find a good beach excursion on my own.
