MSC Meraviglia Man Overboard

Currently on the MSC Meraviglia and we are docked at Ocean Cay. Shortly after 4:30 (didn’t have clock near me) we had a man overboard. Announcement says person was recovered in the water, is conscious and receiving medical attention. I don’t have any further details. We are docked port side so I assume it was not off the port side.

I have a friend on board currently. He said it was a lady that was getting back on the ship and something moved and she fell into the water between the ship and the pier. He said she was there for a short while and they were able to get her out with no major injuries.

Glad the lady will be ok. Totally off topic, do you know if there was a Caribbean (jerk chicken) night on board the 4 nite cruise?  It is my least favorite menus and am planning my specialty dinner night for this Sunday’s cruise. Thank you.

There was on this 7 day. We did a 4 day in July last year and I don’t remember there being one, but I don’t have menus saved to verify.

You were docked port side?  That is very unusual!  I wonder if that factored in to the accident.

We were docked port side. I was pleasantly surprised as the other times we’ve been to Ocean Cay we were starboard side and our room was port side this time.

I saw this and thought that's odd.  You were docked Port side?  Is that true, I have never docked at OC port side and I do not know that I have ever read that anyone has been docked portside.
