Birthday in Kauai

On our second day in Kauai, Friday April 7, Good Friday, it’s my husbands birthday! I would like to do something special for him, maybe a nice lunch spot, we have to be back on board I believe by 2:30 so not a lot of time…is there somewhere close by that would b nice for maybe brunch?? Thank you🥳

Check out the website for Duke's on Kauai.  Touristy and popular, of course, and as memory serves they will also give you a free slice of Hula Pie if it is your birthday.

We would be very surprised if they were closed. Do read their website though and give them a call or email them and ask any other questions you might have about their place.  As said, they are very popular.

I too would go to Duke's. It is walkable back to the ship.

Thank you everyone,,,looks like Dukes is booked up. I may try calling to see if there maybe a cancellation. Fingers crossed we can go there🎈

Duke may not be full even if their reservations are booked.  When you call, ask what percentage of tables are available for walkup and be sure to tell them you are celebrating an important birthday.

We will be there for lunch, just called and it’s first come, first serve for lunch so we should be good! Thanks for your recommendation!

A lot of the good eateries in Hawaii start to get lines for lunch as early as 11:00 am or whenever they open.
