Booking a cruise

Last night I saw that the Amsterdam March 22,2006 cruise to Hawaii had about 80 vaccant cabins. This morning I went on the Holland America site to book a cabin and it came up sold out. What I would like to know how they can book that many cabins so fast? I went on another site "Crucon"

and they had cabins. I do not understand why Holland said sold out

Just an fyi, Crucon is a very reputable travel agency. In fact, CC uses them alot for their group cruises. Why not book with Crucon? I think you would save some $$ also. Just a thought.

It is my understanding that a large company can book a large number of rooms and may indeed have availability when the HAL site does not. If, however, the TA does not sell these rooms by the cut off date they will be released and the HAL site can then offer them.

I have noted that some of the TA's listed here (ads) have some very competitive prices and most times are lower by $100s of dollars.

sunny skies, smooth sailings
