World Cruise on Celebrity

Fairly unlikely, as Celebrity has but 12 (soon to be 13) cruise ships.  This means they can deploy their fleet seasonally and profitably in the current markets.  A world cruise requires commitment of a ship to that itinerary, and with the number of ships Celebrity has, it's not practical.  They have on the other hand had tremendous success with marketing the Edge's 52-night, Rome to Sydney cruise as a "Grand Voyage".  Historically that repositioning route was not terribly popular, and prices were reduced to get passengers aboard.  With this marketing, all legs have sold well,a nd some have been consistently sold out for months.  I would definitely look for more marketing of lengthy non-repetive cruises like this.

After viewing the jaw dropping itinerary for the world cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of the Seas, I would love to see this opportunity on Celebrity. Any thoughts on this possibility?

What about choosing the ship that you want to cruise on and the voyage it takes?
