lodging in Civitavecchia

Greetings. Will be sailing on Galaxy E Med out of Rome (Civitavecchia) departing May 22 and am considering spending the night before the cruise's departure in Civitavecchia. Can anyone recommend lodging in Civitavecchia?

Me too ! Except we will be taking the red-eye from JFK and arriving in Rome in the morning ...then off to a half day tour ....can you say TIRED !! Whew...see you there!

Too bad you switched from Oceania to go on the Galaxy. Huge mistake. We have been on both and there is a major difference. Hopefully you can get your reservations back for Nautica.

You might check out the De La Ville (delaville@roseshotel.it). It is very close to the rail station and roughly half a mile from the port.

http://www.tripadvisor.com is a site with traveller's reviews of hotels. I usually rely on these reviews when choosing a hotel - and so far I've found the reviews to be pretty reliable.

 

It's also a great site to ask questions (in the forum section) - if I couldn't find the info I needed for our Med cruise here, I asked on Tripadvisor.
