  1. We stayed at the Golden Tulip three years ago. Rooms were clean and spacious and the tariff was far less than we've paid in previous stays in Rome. A shuttle driver took us from the hotel to the port at Civitavecchia.
  2. VMax1700, Thank you. I will see w hat Magee 1866 hasoo
  3. Yes, please check. I am especially interested in buying a Donegal tweed jacket to replace one given to me almost 50 years ago.
  4. Is it correct that some Dublin businesses such as clothing stores will be closed on Tuesday May 7th as well?
  5. Our ship arrives in Dublin on Monday, May 6, a holiday. Will that mean that most businesses will be closed?
  6. We have sailed the Reflection four times and the Equinox, Silhouette and Solstice each twice and, frankly, differences are too few to quibble about.
  7. Our daughter and her husband also had an aft cabin and reported they also had drawers and closets popping open and closing.
  8. Thanks for sharing. My wife and I were on that cruise and, like you, we watched the storm from the Sky Lounge during the elite cocktail hour. I took several still shots and wondered if anyone had shot video. Now I know.
  9. I asked because a battle with pneumonia, already at month 6, will force us to cancel a fall TA on the Reflection and give up our HC cabin. If my pulmonary doctor clears us to cruise, we hope to book a TA for next year. It's slim pickings for HC cabins, even a year or more away, so it's good to know a wheelchair user can sail in a non HC cabin.
  10. How difficult is it to manage with a wheelchair in a standard balcony cabin?
  11. Hank, The Kissing Sailor was not there last fall. It was there the previous year, however.
  12. We also experienced the same with spaghetti carbonara in the main dining room on the reflection. What was served was goopy, barely edible mess. It was sent back to the kitchen where a second attempt was made. It was just as pitiful.
  13. My first serious camera was a Canon IV rangefinder I purchased at PX in Korea in 1953.

    foodie?

Foodie? That's baby talk. Can't we come up with something more adult to describe those who have a deep appreciation and love for a variety of foods. Just loving a Big Mac does not qualify.
