Transportation from Amtrak Orlando to Port Canaveral

We are coming in on the train for our cruise in November.

 

We'll be getting in to Orlando or Winter Park the day before the cruise and need to get to Merritt Island (where Port Canaveral is).

Can you please clarify your destination?

Port Canaveral is on a different island. Not Merritt Island. Are you staying in a hotel in Orlando or on Merritt Island (only 2 hotels there) 

Regardless, Uber/Lyft is your best bet unless you stay in an Orlando hotel that's on a shared shuttle service route to the Port.

Neither. I'm staying with my mother-in-law who lives on Merritt Island, less than 15 minutes from Port Canaveral.

Use this site (https://www.lyft.com/rider/fare-estimate) for Lyft.  Wait until the time of day you expect to arrive in Orlando and enter the exact address of your destination.

Uber, Lyft or a cab is the way to go. If you deal with a shuttle company you will be looking at private service to your relatives residence in Merritt Island

I don't know if it has changed, but when we did this, we rented a car - Hertz one way.  There was a Hertz counter at the train station. Was super convenient, and decently priced. Having said that, I know rental car prices at times go through the roof, so might not be worth it.
