Incognito1 Posted March 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2023 We are scheduled for an 8:45am bus from Southampton to Liverpool. Ship is supposed to be offloading at 6:30am. We will have no luggage. What has been your experience as far as time efficiency for that port of entry? It's a 10 minute Uber ride to the bus station. Are we cutting it too close? TheOldBear Posted March 26, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2023 Timing will vary with the ship & previous ports. For example Queen Mary 2 arrives at the end of an eastbound crossing with all passengers passports cleared. As an in transit passenger, I’ve never disembarked with luggage, but I would expect an early self disembarkation to proceed with minimal delays.
Rare John Bull Posted March 26, 2023 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2023 If you disembark unassisted (haul your own bags from your cabin) at about 7am you won't have to find your luggage, there'll be no line for immigration, customs will be a walk-thru that you probably won't even notice, & there won't be a long line for a taxi. No worries about catching an 8.45 bus JB 🙂
PurpleTraveller Posted March 26, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 26, 2023 (edited) We docked at the QE2 terminal and walked off the ship at 7.00am with our luggage, got in a taxi and were at the bus station at 7.15am for a 8.30am bus. You shouldn't have a problem for a 8.45am bus. Edited March 26, 2023 by PurpleTraveller
